Lake Powell 2011

So as I said in my previous post we went to lake powell this weekend. We left Thursday night around 930 pm and drove to Orderville, Utah where Stefens family has a house. We got there around 5 am and slept for 3 hours and then got up and got things ready to go. Our friends Breanne and Nick came with us and we had so much fun!

Poor Nick. This is the only time he got in. He crashed his knee on the side of the boat and some how (were not sure how yet) cut the bottom of his toe open.

We found this cool little beach on saturday where we kept our lunch and other supplies. After lunch while we were resting I decided I wanted to take a nap so we had the tube tied to the boat so I got on and laid down on my stomach and slept. Without putting sunscreen on. I got FRIED! On the way back we went to the hoover dam. This is one of the power tower things.

So this is the new bridge over the dam. When I went back to AZ by myself in January I made it over this bridge without even knowing i was on the bridge. Guess I'm more clueless then people thought...

Even though we had some mishaps and I fried like a chip, we had a blast and it was nice to get away!

School...

Stefen is going to UTI which is a auto and diesel mechanic school. It is a rigorous 2 year program with hardly any breaks. He goes to school 5 days a week for about 6 hours a day. He works very hard and only get some holidays off. So we were looking at his school calender and saw that tomorrow the 13th of may he has off for a teacher work day! You have no Idea how thrilled we were to hear this. When we got married we had to have an intrveiw with my stake president of the LDS church. He gave us some wonderful advice that we try to follow. The advice he gave was to follow the 7-7-7 rule which is: every 7 days go on a date every 7 months go on an over night trip and every 7 years revisit your honeymoon place. So a couple days ago it was our 7 month anniversary (I know can you believe its been that long!) So we were trying to figure out when we could go camping and thats when we saw that he has tomorrow off of school. So what are we doing this weekend you may ask?

We are going with my friends Breanne and Nick. And we are leaving tonight!

Mandy Joy won $500 dollars for a grocery store gift card from KUTV! I am so proud of her! And the young woman she has become!

Because i'm on the laptop i dont have a ton of pictures of my mom. But my mom is awesome!! She does some very cool stiff for us. With today being mothers day i have to pay honor to her! She here are 2 pictures I have! I love my mom and It is hard to be away from her at thing time!

This is Stefens mom. She is a very special person too! She is a great talent at sewing!

If you know me even slightly you would know that i am not one that is to say when I miss stuff...
But as we have been dealing with an insurance fiasco with Stefen and doctors appointments with me I have been thinking a lot lately of what I miss. So here is my list...

Even though this is an extensive list im not homesick and I am glad that we are on this adventure the last couple days have just been hard with not having family to support us and give us a hug.
But on a happy note we get to see my dear friend breanne her husband nick and my dear father in law in 5 days!! But whos counting right!?
