A Chocolate Game

Do you remember this post here about the Chocolate factory? Well I thought that it would nice if I bought some chocolates and brought them home to share with Stefen. So last night we made chocolate milk and we would rack our brains over which chocolate to eat then we would each eat half and then take a drink of chocolate milk. We did this for about 5 chocolates and were laughing hysterically about it the whole time. Those chocolates were amazing I have to say.

Megan Golden and I went to a chocolate factory today and got chocolate dipped jalapenos and I tried one and I hate hot stuff! Enjoy!

A golden Weekend

A friend of a friend came into town from Utah. Her name is Megan Golden. She came down here for a photo shoot for her modeling career and we needed some time to kill so we went to downtown Glendale and Scottsdale we had a blast.

While we were driving to the candy factory we almost got hit by a high speed chase. The perp had already caused 3 or 4 accidents. and there were 8 cop cars following him. It was really freaky.

The Results are in....

I had my Surgery a week and a half ago to remove the bump. It went well and only took an hour but the Novocaine had worn off about 45 minutes into the procedure. I couldn't tell if I was feeling pressure or pain so I didn't ask for more Novocaine. But I figured out it was pain on the drive home. Novocaine for some reason makes me really tired and I guess I was pretty loopy. But I don't remember. I slept most of the day and am very grateful that my visiting teacher came and brought me in soup to eat. I went to work the next day which I now have decided wasn't a good idea. I got hit right in the surgical site and my stitches rubbed on my lip and I got a huge sore until I decided to take the stitches out on Monday. (Don't worry I had permission too)

Today I got a call from the doctor who said it was a non-malignant bump and they don't know what caused but for now its gone. We have to watch it and if it comes back we will treat it accordingly. So that's it. I am still waiting for the gum to grow back because a lot of my tooth is still showing but it has grown back some. 

I no longer have anything to play with... 

New do

Since Stefen and I dont have a lot of money right now Stefen cuts my hair. He does really well so we just go with it. Well I was tired of the same old style so we did swoopy bang things and I LOVE it!!!! He also thinned my hair a bit and it feels so much lighter. He only did a trim because I want to grow my hair out more. Heres the new do before work... 

Extreme Home Makeover: Bri and Stefen Edition

The explanation in Stefens terms as he had to send an email out and I didnt want to retype it.

So Bri has had this dresser since before she can remember, and who knows how old it was when she got it.  It was an awful puke yellow and cream color that had faded into the night.  Hence a makeover was in order.  I had a gallon of paint matched pretty close to some whitewashed paneling to do some repair work on an old travel trailer I got for free, so we decided to go with that as our base color.  We wanted more, however, so we decided on a brown glaze to spice it up.  On the large flat surfaces, Bri applied the glaze with a roller, then placed the wrap of the saran (aka saran wrap) over top, brushed the air bubbles out, then pulled it off.  The result is a leather looking surface.  On the remainder of the dresser, including the drawer fronts, I simply painted the glaze on with a brush, then wiped it off with a sponge.  It turned out looking like wood grain.

We then moved on to the side panels on either side of the mirror, which were originally cork board, which had shrunk and fallen out over the years.  We did not want to do cork again, so we narrowed it down to chalk board or sheet metal.  Neither one of us like writing with chalk, so we set out to make the sheet metal work.  The plain galvanized surface looked too much like the mirror in the center, and we wanted to add some color.  Now, staring at the ginormous plethora of spray paint selections on the great wall of spray paint, much debate occurred between one another, our mothers, and the home depot guy (we could not include the inferior decorator as it was like midnight in Chicago at this time).  The color choices thrown out there were hot pink, mexican gold, baby pink, baby blue, mexican gold, baby green, cream, light tan, mexican gold, lipstick red, purple, mexican gold, white, white board paint, mexican gold, chalkboard paint, and mexican gold.  Yes, El Senior Casa Depot was much in favor of mexican gold (even though he wasn't mexican) and bri kept saying NO.  After half an hour of deliberation, we settled on gloss burgundy.  Did you catch that we threw in a whole new color after this long grueling debate?

In the end, we decided to paint the handles burgundy as well to bring the color into the bottom half.  I also got a new tool in the process as we had to have something to cut the sheet metal with.  And no, the term "tin snips" is not found in the global dictionary.  The device used to cut thin gauge sheet metal is more commonly referred to as "scissors."

I know you all want to see my mouth... But this is to show you the bump... If you look on the left side of the picture you can see it. I have been to a specialist and he has no idea what this bump is.. So next Tuesday I am having it removed,
