Camping

At the beginning of September we went camping with our friends. We had delicious food and amazing fun! As always there are more pictures on facebook these are just the ones i like or have stories for.

Uncle button was a trooper. He got cold and was tired and Brielle was cranky too. So he sat on a rock for about an hour holding the sweet baby just watching and chilling.

He got to watch Jaden too. Who in this picture was throwing a HUGE fit! He eventually fell asleep in a weird position  He loved camping though. Everytime he see me or his button he asks when we can go camping again.

After a long day swimming! We were all pooped!

On our way back from camping we stopped in Sedona. They had these cool music things.

Old man! All these people were taking pictures of me with this dummy. He freaked me out but he was soo cool too. He waved!

We had a ton of fun on our camping trip! These are some of our closest friends here in the AZ we sure will miss them when we move but we hope to go on trips with them again soon!

A couple months back we took Jaden and Brielle to the science Museum there as always more pictures on facebook.

Chocolate balls...

Every Christmas my Grandma and Grandpa make these wonder rich amazing chocolate balls. Now the way my grandma makes it verses how we made it work is completely different. Ill give you her version then how we did it.

Ingredients:
A Large tub of whip topping
3 LARGE chocolate bars
cookie coating (we used cinnamon graham crackers and it was really good)
Nuts (if you want. I am not a nut person)

Make sure you leave the cool whip out on the counter for 15 min prior to making the dessert.
Melt all the chocolate in a bowl in the microwave, you dont want it too hot or to chunky. After chocolate is melted pour the cool whip in and nuts if desired and mix. (this is where we ran into problems. Ill get to those in a sec)
Roll into balls (we just used our cookie scoop) and roll into the cookie crumbs and place on plate.
Refrigerate

Okay the problems we ran into. When we mixed the whip topping in with the chocolate it hardened to quickly and it wasnt becoming smooth. I was mixing it with a spatula. So we poured the mixture into the kitchen aid and whipped it that way. However the chocolate had still solidified to fast. So we put the whole kitchen aid bowel into the oven and melted it that way (at 450 F for 3 minutes). It was much more smooth. We did have to freeze it for a while so we could make balls, but the chocolate wasnt solid anymore. If you have questions let me know!

A little hectic

A little chaos has been looming over our house hold for about a month and a half now. Activities and date nights have almost come to a halt. Work, swimming lessons, school, and participating in church functions have now taken control. Our relief has been our weekly Sunday night dinner with various friends. (see picture below) Stefen has 3 weeks left in Cummins Generators class. Then he will have a very not so boring 3 week break that will include camping, another zoo trip, and a quick trip to SLC. Then after that 12 weeks is all he will have left in school. He will be learning about Cummins Engines. We are vigorously praying to find a job by Thanksgiving or my nerves may all crack at the same time. The OCD that is contained within me is having a rough time staying within me. I want to pack and be done with it all. I find myself on a daily basis telling myself "Now Bri if you pack your whole house up right now then Stefen may, no, he will shoot you and you will be walking around in the nude for 4 months. So knock it off." Seriously people this is becoming a serious issue around here. I already have 2 boxes packed!  

We have some thoughts of where we want to live but right now thats all they are, thoughts. We like talking about it a lot and hopefully in a few short months we can give you a valid update!

Happy 4th!!

I guess I should post this. 4th of July this year was pretty laid back. We went and saw the new Spider Man movie with our friends then headed over to my dads house for food and swimming.
