Friends say Happy Birthday!

On Sunday while Ann, Shelbi, and Miss E were here we had a birthday party with our friends.

Happy Birthday Kayley Dawn

Kayley is the spit ball in our family. She never is shy of a smart or rude remark. She is a shrimp and no one ever lets her forget it. She has a big personality for such a little girl. She has also had some mighty dreams for being such a little person. Her theme song will forever be short people by Randy Newman. You know the one where short people have no reason to live? 

Lets be honest if this little person was not alive we would not be on our toes all the time in fear or humor of what she is going to say next.

About this age she finally grew after 4 years of being at 5 foot nothing to 5"2. It might have been the happiest day of her life to date.

She once dreamt of being the first female NFL football player. That was short-lived when we told her that she would have to be the ball in order to be on the team.

She has a still might dream of being in the military. But thats how bold this amazing 18 year old is!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be 21 years to the day that my wonderful twin sister will have been born! 

Dont worry if you feel old I fell worse! 

What can I say about these 2 amazing gorgeous girls!

Megan who is the oldest by 30 seconds received the wonderful gift of life a couple weeks ago. She managed to live after falling 260 feet off of a cliff without a help or rope attached to her. She is a survivor and I cant help but think that whenever I am in a situation where my life has narrowly survived that I will act as graceful and have as much perseverance as Megan. I think if I was in her situation and would have been told that my foot would have to come off I would have lost it. But she hung on and he foot was saved! I would have not healed as quickly as she. I admire the way that she takes a bad situation and sees that the world has more to offer her. I am thrilled and pleased to have this wonderful young woman as my sister and some day (dont get ideas people) Aunt to my children. (again not happening ANY time soon.)

Mandy has just as wonderful spirit as Megan. Mandy has had many health issues for many years and some that they cant seem to figure out. I know as any person would do she get frustrated with the doctors for not figuring it out and she get frustrated with her body that it doesnt function the way it needs to. But I admire her as well. I would have given up years ago and would have stopped going to doctors and probably would have been suffering. But she keeps going and keeps trying to get answer. Despite the pain she is in she manages to have fun and to still play and hang out with her friends. You wont hear much complaint from her about miserable she is expect maybe to my mom and dad. I admire that. I am such a whiner face! I am thrilled that God said Mandy and I could be sisters and she could be an aunt and role model to my children. (People I am trying to be sincere please dont get the idea that I am having a child)

The boring world of Bri and Stefen

Our lives have not been that interesting as of late.We have been working and doing school and really nothing else. We went to the temple last Saturday and it was wonderful. Stefen's sister sent us a gift card for his birthday and we got to enjoy Red Lobster which was amazing! (Thanks Jena)

I have been doing summer camp at work which has been a blast playing with all the kids!

There is a website called My Give Away Today that features different companies and they well give something away. So I won a $35 giftcard from a cute etsy shop called Justbeccuz. I got this cute Happy Birthday sign that I just LOVE!!!

Stefens Birthday

First things first! This beautiful cat is Dinah. She is my sisters but my sister is moving and cant take her. My dad found her a wheeler farm and has been declawed on all four paws. If you are interested please let me know. She is FREE by the way.

Now onto the good stuff. Stefens birthday was this last Tuesday and he had to go to school so we did his festivities in the morning. I didnt take pictures of his presents but I got him a tripod flashlight, hair cutting scissors, and a picture book with his mission photos. O and this cute grill below with the stuff needed to use it.

Our lunch consisted of his favorite foods. "Burnt' corn as I grew up calling it, steak, and mash potatoes. Although Stefen really likes potatoe flakes so they are not real potaotes.
