Long time coming...

The last Saturday in February we had a fun date day and I haven't posted the pictures yet... SO here you go.

Me ready for food

We went and bought Peter Piper Pizza which is suppose to be super good but it wasn't. But its like a Chuck E Cheese but not as cool.
This was our tomato and chicken pizza that was cut into squares it was so weird!
The fire truck toy at the park that stefen loved!

So I had never made Pie crust before on my own so I decided to attempt it because we got apples for dirt cheap that week. So Here is the raw product
And here is the finished product!
And I am not a great reader I guess because I did 6 large apples instead of 6 cups! LOL so we made apple bake.

For St patricks day I made a green banana cream pie! (I bought the crust this time)

Evil Chicken!

So as most of you know I HATE bacon I hate bacon! I cant even stand the smell of it cooking. Ya I know I'm not a true american but honestly the stuff is disgusting not to mention greasy and well just gross! Okay so the whole point of this post is to give you a recipe for Evil Chicken with "drum roll please" .................................
BACON!!!

And I at it and I liked it. Actually I loved it! I served it with rice so it was even more delicious. So after all this talking about it I guess your ready for the recipe huh? Well how about a picture first...

Well okay I guess you'll actually want to know how to make it now huh?

1 pound of bacon
1 pound of boneless/skinless chicken breasts
3 Tablespoons Chili Powder
1 cup of Brown Sugar

Cut bacon up into small pieces. Fry in skillet until almost done. While it's cooking, cut up chicken into small pieces. When bacon is almost done, add the chicken...do NOT drain the bacon. Add the chili powder and stir. Cook until chicken is done. When it's done, add brown sugar. Stir for just 4 - 5 minutes. Don't cook too long or it will turn to toffee! You can add a bit of water of the coating is too thick.

Pretty easy huh? Well if I can do it trust me you can do it! I cant even make brownies!

Air Show

So Yesterday we went to the Air Show at Fort Luke. We went with some friends from our ward and some of her family and their son. And I actually took pictures this time! The planes were so loud!!!

These are parachuting people that had like jet packs on (hint the pink smoke)

If you look really close at the picture above there is a black dot which is totally a dude!

The smallest plane in the world I swear I think Stefen would be too long to fit in it

The biggest pplane in the world. We got a chance to go see the cockpit but I was feeling a bit claustrophobic so I didn't go up. Stefen said it wasn't really worth the hour long wait we waited for.

Us in front of the big plane

Inside the big plane

Stefen sitting in the seats which were sideways and rather uncomfortable

Stefen with our friends. The little boy is Jaden and he was so good! He sat in his stroller for about 4 hours without whining. And he hates the thing! So we decided he could explore the big plane.

So this picture is at walmart actually. We are at a stop light and these people are almost always in the median trying to preach to you. They knock on your window they yell things like repent repent. Well yesterday they had this sign.... Judgement is coming to America. Stefen and I laughed and laughed and laughed. Shouldnt the Judgement come to the world?

The Joys of teaching

So as most of you know I teach swim lessons. On Wednesday of this last week I was having a very hard time with this one class. There 3 students per class and this particular one are 2 brothers and a sister. There is a 6 year old boy and twin 4 year old boy and girl. Their dad had forgotten their goggles and all the kids were freaking out about that. The 4 year year old boy was freaking out for getting water in his ears and the little girl was asking question after question about stuff that wasn't important. While I was trying to talk the little girl into coming swimming with me the 6 year old kept interrupting saying teacher I have to tell you something. I kept telling him to hold on and finally after Im sure what felt like 5 minutes to him I let him speak. He gave me a hug and said teacher you are the best swim teacher ever. My heart just melted and I knew I could go on for the last 15 min if class.

Catching up

So February has been quite busy unfortunately I am horrible at taking pictures even if I have my camera with me! So the weekend of the 14th some good friends that I grew up with cam to Arizona for a race and they stayed with us. They have 2 kids and we had a blast playing with them. The night they left we found out that Stefens oldest sister is Pregnant! We are so excited to have a niece or nephew to spoil!

The next weekend a good friend of mine from convergys, Ken, came down to run in a Ragnar which was a 200 mile race that he did with a team of 12 people unfortunately I took one picture and it was of the team below. It makes me laugh because their are 3 men in the body suits and then there is Tarzan! I thought it was hysterical. We were able to go out to dinner with Ken and get to know him!

Yesterday we went to the temple and on the way we saw this man on his bike with an american flag and a dog! We laughed for a little while at what an odd predicament this man has himself in!

Tonight Stefen decided to make dinner! I came out of the bedroom and saw this lovely concoction. The potatoes with soup as a gravy was delicious but the thing in the bowl was to say the least interesting. He calls this wonderful thing lumpy dick.

His grandma used to make it many years ago and he has been missing in so he googled a recipe and made it.. As much as I love my husband I couldn't even swallow the thing! But at least he tried and he even admits that it was awful!
Well besides working and school for Stefen thats what has been going on in the Bolander home!
