An unruly tale: A story as to why decorating should be left to the professionals...

Yesterday as you may already know we went to Ikea. We had a mission and our mission was to protect me from falling DVDs. We looked at all sorts of shelf's, fats ones, square ones, black ones, white ones, and everything in between. We came to a conclusion, a bright red one that could be tipped and tilted in any direction you want. The problem with this shelf is that it is LONG! It is 75 inches long and although you can tip it vertically and horizontly and at different angles we needed wall space. We initially had decided that it was to be in our bedroom. But after several different opinions from only men I got vetoed on having it be very modern. (Read captions for more of this tale)

This was our initial thought. At an angle the movies still stayed on. And it looked really cool. Evan and I were all for it.

But Stefen wanted it straight...

We tried lesser angles and deeper angles. But a decision had to be made. So we brought in Jack! Jack is our downstairs neighbor who thinks he knows everything and probably does..

Jack (the one standing) and Even debating on what to do. Jack had a though that we should try different spaces in the house.. So those mirrors came off and we tried it there. We also tried it in the corner over there above the humidifier. But alas we would have to try a different room..

The boys thought we should attach it to the ceiling.. Where of course the only person who could reach it would be stefen...

Then an idea had formed. If we attach it to the lower ceiling Bri could reach it and it wouldnt look so out of place... But then realizing that my husband is slightly too tall for this idea to work Jack gave up on helping us and went on his merry way home.

After Jack left it was Evan, Stefen, and I alone again. Wondering what we were going to do with this unruly and long shelf... So it was decided...

We went with the straight position above the dresser...
